An independent registry of UK dividend events
Built because dividend dates deserve the same standard as the filings they come from: sourced, dated and checkable.
What this is
The Dividend Registry is a reference for dividend events on UK-listed companies: ex-dividend dates, record dates, payment dates and declared amounts for LSE and AIM issuers, compiled every trading day from official regulatory filings.
It exists to answer simple questions reliably: when does this company go ex-dividend, how much was declared, and when is it paid — with a link to the announcement that says so.
Why it was built
Most freely available dividend data is copied between aggregators until its origin is lost. Dates drift, corrections never propagate, and when two sites disagree there is no way to tell which one is right. Meanwhile the authoritative answer sits in public regulatory filings — accurate, dated and free — just not in a usable shape.
The registry takes the unglamorous route: read the filings, extract the facts, keep the receipts. Every record traces to the announcement it came from, and corrections are versioned rather than silently overwritten. The methodology page describes exactly how.
Who is behind it
The Dividend Registry is an independent, one-person project — built and maintained by a UK-based software developer and private dividend investor, not a financial firm. It started as a fix for a personal annoyance: cross-checking three websites to find one ex-dividend date, and never being sure which of them was right.
The person behind it is not a financial adviser, and nothing here is advice — which is exactly why every record links to the filing it came from. You should never have to take anyone’s word for a date, including ours.
What this site is not
- Not investment advice. The registry records what companies have announced. It does not recommend, rate or tip shares, and nothing here is a suggestion to buy or sell anything.
- Not affiliated with any regulator or exchange. References to official filing channels are factual attribution only.
- Not a substitute for the source. Every record links to the issuer’s own announcement — for decisions that depend on a date, check it.
